Tenant Portal Terms

1.What this is
Latchly provides software your landlord uses to manage their rental records. Your landlord — not Latchly — controls this portal, decides what you can see, and is responsible for the information in it.
2.Latchly is not your landlord
We are not a party to your lease or tenancy and have no role in your rent, deposits, or repairs. All questions, complaints, and disputes about your tenancy go to your landlord.
3.No payments
Latchly does not collect, hold, or process rent or any other money. Any payment record you see was entered by your landlord and is not verified by us. It is not a receipt from us and is not proof of payment.
4.Accuracy
Information here is entered by your landlord. We do not verify it and are not responsible for its accuracy.
5.Your account
Keep your login confidential. Tell your landlord immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
6.What you submit
This portal holds only your name, email address, and mobile number, plus requests and bookings you make. Do not submit your lease, government identification, banking details, credit information, or health information — the portal is not built to hold them and you must not enter them. Anything you submit is visible to your landlord.
7.Privacy
Your landlord is the organization responsible for your personal information and decides what is collected and how long it is kept. To access, correct, or delete your information, or to withdraw consent, contact your landlord. Our practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
8.Availability
The portal is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or delivery of notifications. Do not rely on this portal to meet any deadline.
9.Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LATCHLY’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS PORTAL WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100), AND WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS. NOTHING HERE LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, INCLUDING FOR FRAUD OR FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE.
10.Access ends with your tenancy
Your landlord may revoke access at any time. Keep your own copies of anything you need.
11.Governing law
Ontario law applies.
